Lisa is a well-known mountaineer. She is a cancer survivor who has summitted many of the world’s highest mountains, including Mt. Rainier, Denali, Kilimanjaro, and in 2018, she was the 2nd American woman to summit K2 in Pakistan. Her climb to the top of the world’s highest mountain, Mt. Everest, was made into a documentary film, called Capturing Everest, which won an Emmy Award. She now shares her experiences through writing and speaking. Learn more at www.lisaclimbs.com. Paris Jackson is KOMO 4 Morning News Traffic Anchor & Reporter. She’s a two-time Emmy award winner, who’s covered news spanning more than a decade in cities in the Pacific Northwest and Southeast regions. Born and raised in the Seattle area – she’s proud to work and live in a community she’s deeply connected to and cares about. A graduate of Washington State University’s Edward R. Murrow School of Communication; she earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication and double majored in Broadcast News and Ethnic Studies.
Paris is a multi-hyphenate - journalist, working mom and recent breast cancer survivor. She’s thrilled to share her voice and volunteer with Team Survivor Northwest as the Gala emcee.
Our mission at Team Survivor Northwest is to provide a broad range of fitness and health education programs to enable women cancer survivors, in any stage of treatment or recovery and at any fitness level, to take an active role in their ongoing physical and emotional healing.
